type='text'>Normal service has been resumed

Apologies for the crashing silence over the last couple of weeks,a combination of working stupid hours, cycling everywhere due to not having a car at the moment and work related stress has made me shut myself off from the world for a bit.
Apart from the MOT on my car expiring, the cost of petrol has now reached the point where i can no longer afford to use my car on a daily basis,so the trusty Claude Butler mountain bike has been dusted off and i`m cycling everywhere at the moment.
It hasn`t been as bad as i thought it would be,considering i`ve had a 11 year lay off from cycling and roughly two weeks to get some sort of strength into my legs on the turbo trainer,it has hurt a fair bit,but i don`t think i`ve not done too badly.
One thing i have noticed is how selfish and impatient car drivers are towards cyclists, not had a dangerous encounter with a motor vehicle yet,but i`m sure that will come in the not too distant future.

The first Formula one race of the season took place last weekend, pity i had to work the sunday morning, which meant i had to catch the highlights when i got home.
Not a vintage race by any means,Vettel took off like a startled hare and wasn`t seen until the chequered flag came out, wonder why Webber wasn`t tucked up Vettels gearbox all race long?
The only bright points of the whole race was the pace of the Mclarens compared to their dismal performance in pre season testing ,and that was only when they got into clean air.
The Saubers looked excellent all race long, only to have their day spoilt when their rear wings failed scrutineering.
Renault did seem to be missing Robert Kubica, but Petrov drove his heart out to eventually claim third place when the Saubers where excluded.
Finally, what did Ferrari do to Massa`s car to make it so damn quick in a straight line? answers on a postcard to the technology centre,Woking
The cost! oh the cost!

Had to put fuel in my car this morning, nearly had a heart attack at the price £1-30 a litre!
I only want to buy £20 worth not the bloody company!,at this rate,i `ll be cycling to work or walking.
What the Chancellor of the exchequer fails to realise (as he gets driven everywhere in a car paid for by us taxpayers) is that his attempts to sort out the financial chaos are driving the lower paid further into debt and despair.

The cost of fuel, gas, electrictity, petrol, food and beer(can`t forget the beer) have all gone up considerably, but my wages haven`t ,a part of the rise is the price of the raw materials and production costs, the rest is the chunk taken by Her Majesties Government.
The Chancellor can stand at the despatch box and point the finger at the former ministers sitting on the opposition benches and blame them for everything that is currently going on until hell freezes over,it won`t make the huge hole in the finances vanish, nor will it stop him from repeating parrot fashion that all the cuts are for the good of the country,i don`t doubt they are,but stop looking so damn smug Mr Osbourne!

On top of this, there are plans to add another penny to the duty on petrol in the next month or so,will this be the catalyst for more protests about fuel prices?
Having heard on the news on the way home from work that the police officers are being told to expect substantial paycuts, isn`t it about time that cabinet ministers and members of Parliament led by example?
I`m not sure off the top of my head exactly how much MPs and Cabinet Ministers earn, but it`ll be a heck of a lot more than a Police officer.
I`d like to see the look on the Prime Ministers face if there was a popular uprising along the lines of what has just happened in Egypt and Tunisia, the smell of fear from Downing street would be quite unbearable.
Staying on the subject of cost for the final time in this posting.
I had to pay for new glasses this afternoon, when the nice lady told me how much,i really wanted to ask if the frames would be platinum plated, but i didn`t.
First faltering steps

These are the first faltering steps into the world of blogging by a seasoned and jaded, not to mention, cynical factory worker and F1 fan.
Either this will be the single most boring blog on the planet or moderately interesting, either way,it`s going to give me an outlet for the frustrations of my job.
As for what i do for a living,i`ll be sacked if the powers that be find out about this,so i`ll keep that to myself for the time being,or until i get the push and then i`ll be letting the cat out of the
